The AAA conducted an on-line survey, closing 10/21, asking members to vote whether to have the San Francisco meetings, move them to San Jose or cancel them altogether. SCA sent this response to the AAA Executive Board:

On 10/22 the AAA and the Hilton corporation negotiated a change in 2004 meeting venue to Atlanta, changing the meeting times to December.  On 10/25, the following was sent to the AAA membership by Liz Brumfiel, AAA President, and Bill Davis, Executive Director.

AAA Confirms Move to Atlanta

On 11/4 the AAA Executive Board approved a motion to grant registration fee relief too 2004 Annual Meeting registrants who registered when the meeting was scheduled to occur in San Francisco, and because of the change in dates and venue, are now unable to attend the Annual Meeting scheduled for Atlanta.

On 12/17 SCA held an Open Forum off Hilton Premises to discuss labor issues and AAA Governance
